Behavioral Health
Santiam Hospital & Clinics & Clinics have integrated a behavioral health consultant also known as a behaviorist to work with you and your medical team. A behaviorist will meet with you on a short term basis, to help you achieve healthy lifestyle changes and goals in order to improve your quality of life; behaviorally, physically, and emotionally.
Our behaviorists will help patients that are struggling with managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain, COPD, and much more. A behaviorist will also work with patients to help them achieve their personal goals. The behaviorist team can help patients strive to increase their motivation to lose weight, quit smoking, start exercising, decrease stress levels, and much more. Your behaviorist can also help patients connect to long term counseling in the community and find resources that fit appropriately in an individual’s life.

“This hospital has the most wonderful staff! From the receptionist, doctors, nurses, everyone I’ve met have been the most caring and understanding individuals I’ve ever met. Ps the people who work in the kitchen who make the meals are outstanding!!“
“Our family has been patients for many years. The doctors, nurses, and staff are always friendly, attentive, thorough, and knowledgeable. They really go above and beyond even being able to schedule same-day appointments if necessary.“
