Ambulance Service
From the moment Santiam Hospital’s ALS ambulance arrives on scene, pre-hospital care begins by highly trained professionals, who have knowledge and skills to treat those with illnesses or victims of trauma. This early response and continuous care offers tremendous benefit in the treatment and care of patients, and provides a seamless transition to hospital treatment.

The advance life support ambulance is equipped to provide a variety of emergency care, including ground transportation to surrounding hospitals. The hospital also has a designated helipad for utilization of air transportation if needed. The Santiam Ambulance provides mutual aid to other local area ambulance services within our region, including Turner, Lyons and Scio. Santiam Ambulance staff’s two full time ambulances and has an annual call volume of 3,000 that is a combination of 911 calls and transfers.
