As wildfires burn through our community and surrounding areas, we understand the fear and loss everyone is feeling right now.

Last week, Cyndi Seran lost her home to the Santiam Canyon Wildfires. When a close friend set up a Go-Fund-Me account to help her and her family, Cyndi felt called to assist those around her who had also been affected by the fires. She worked hard with her close friend Dina to quickly put together a fund to raise monetary and physical donations to help those in the community.

As a hospital, we have been given the opportunity to assist the Santiam Wildfire Relief Fund to connect families in need to people who can give and serve as well as connect those in need with monetary resources that have been donated. As a team, we can help the families rebuild their lives that have been uprooted.

All monetary donations made directly to the Santiam Canyon Wildfire Relief Fund are tax-deductible, as the fund is established with 501©3 status and held in a local account at Columbia Bank. Further, 100% of the money contributed to the fund will be distributed specifically to meet the needs of Santiam Canyon residents until fund exhaustion. Distribution of funds will be overseen by a collaborative group of community members already vested in the Santiam Service Integration Team.

Donations can be made online at https://santiamhospital.org or monetary donations can be mailed to:
