We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Quality & Compliance Manager to enhance our healthcare team of innovated leaders.
Santiam Hospital & Clinics is an independent, not-for-profit, 40 bed acute-care community-based hospital with 13 clinics across 8 specialties settled in the foothills of the Cascades serving many recreational sites as well as agricultural communities. Full time, Monday- Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 pm, no evenings or weekends required
Department Description: The RN Quality and Compliance Manager will work closely with the CNO, Nurse Managers, Department Directors, Providers, and staff within the hospital, and partner with the Quality Coordinator of the clinics. The candidate should be someone who enjoys working in a smaller facility. We have a great team to work with. They are hard -working, personable, and resilient.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Hospital management and Medical Staff to establish hospital quality, safety, and risk management goals, and regularly assess progress toward reaching such goals.
- Proactively ensure that hospital conditions comply with requirements that relate to accreditation, regulatory, quality, and licensing standards.
- Maintain hospital readiness surveys that relate to accreditation and licensing, and coordinate hospital activity in response to such surveys.
- Collaborate with Hospital entities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards that relate to principles of utilization, business and quality management.
- Develop processes to minimize risk of injury to Hospital staff, patients, and patient visitors.
- Identify potential liability claims against Hospital entities, and manage potential and actual claims by acting as Hospital liaison with applicable liability carriers, patients, patient families, Hospital staff, and Medical Staff.
- Proactively identify, implement, and monitor quality indicators to elicit hospital Performance Improvement.
- In effort to monitor, evaluate, and optimize patient care, safety, and service; coordinate concurrent and retrospective review of key indicators identified by Medical Staff and Hospital staff.
- In conjunction with Medical Staff Coordinator, design and implement processes for selection and monitoring of professional practice evaluation data.
- Collaborate with Hospital data analysis staff to manage collection, analysis, and report of hospital data that relate to quality, risk, and patient safety.
- Coordinate Hospital data reporting requirements for such quality initiatives as the Joint Commission Core Measures, the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative Quality Indicators, the Wisconsin Hospital Association Quality Initiative, and the American Hospital Association Initiatives.
- Assist with Hospital staff orientation and education, particularly with regard to care quality, risk management, regulatory issues, and overviews of hospital Performance Improvement, quality assurance, and patient safety programs.
Job Qualifications
- A BSN degree or higher from an accredited nursing school
- Experience working in quality and regulatory compliance
- Current Oregon RN license
- Possession of United States citizenship or proof of right to work in the United States
