Santiam Hospital & Clinics is growing! We are seeking a talented and driven Unit Clerk to join our hospital as a key member of our team. This position requires strong communication skills, ability to multitask in a variety of environments and the ability to quickly switch between tasks. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

2 positions available; 1 day shift 0600-1830, 1 night shift 1800-0630.
Job Responsibilities
- Greets and assists patients, visitors and staff.
- Answers telephone and directs calls.
- Manages the patient admission and discharge process for the unit.
- Uses patient electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Orders new supplies and equipment.
- Makes photocopies and faxes documents.
- Completes other administrative work as needed.
- Collaborates with medical and administrative staff.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all patient records.
- Follows all hospital policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Must possess an Oregon State Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior clerical experience in the medical field preferred.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to quickly switch between tasks.
- Exceptional customer service skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates time-management, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and electronic medical records.
- Able to work full time. May require holiday rotation and 2 weekend days per month.
