Job Responsibilities

Independently perform a wide range of potentially complicated troubleshooting, repair and maintenance tasks within the Hospital and Hospital grounds (“Facilities”)

Safely use tools and techniques common in electrical work, heating systems, carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair

Ensure that Department equipment functions properly.

Order or obtain materials, supplies, and equipment required to perform tasks related to the position.

Demonstrate knowledge of occupational hazards, and implement applicable safety measures.

On a daily basis, respond to Hospital staff maintenance requests and provide updates about the status of such response.

Competently operate life safety equipment, and participate in monthly drills that involve such equipment.

Job Qualifications

Ability to respond and be onsite during on call within 30 minutes

Previous experience as a Facilities Technician in a hospital/healthcare environment preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be highly motivated

Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Oregon Driver’s License (insurable)
