Job Description

As a Dietary Aide, your position will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment in providing nutritious meals to all patients in a safe and timely manner to support their health and recovery. Salary Range: $16.26 – $22.98, 12-14 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare food trays for general, therapeutic diets and special diet foods as necessary. Preparation and delivery of food items as requested by patients.
- Responsible for maintaining tray line in a clean and orderly manner and the organization of clean dishes and utensils.
- Ability to operate a dishwasher and wash specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives.
- Dispose of trash and garbage in an appropriate manner and as needed.
- Mop floors, clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas as scheduled and as necessary.
- Receive, stores, issues, and delivers necessary food, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage incoming calls, take messages and process phone orders.
Job Qualifications
- Skilled in the proper and safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of standard kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene as it relates to food preparation and services.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Current Oregon Food Handler License or obtain within 30 days of hire.
