We are seeking an experienced Controller to enhance our healthcare team of innovated leaders.
Santiam Hospital & Clinics is an independent, not-for-profit, 40 bed acute-care community-based hospital with 13 clinics across 8 specialties settled in the foothills of the Cascades serving many recreational sites as well as agricultural communities. Job Responsibilities
- Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assist management in making financial decisions with analysis.
- Participate in hospital financial planning and budget management functions.
- Review, monitor and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Manage the preparation of the annual financial statement audit, and other external annual reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax reporting requirements.
- Design, monitor and test internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by the CFO.
Job Qualifications
- BS Degree in accounting, three to five years of experience in a senior-level accounting position, and / or a CPA preferable.
- Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment Knowledge and skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Hospital finance and accounting experience desirable.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
