Santiam Hospital & Clinics is growing! We are seeking a talented and driven Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospital as a key member of our team. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a variety of environments. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

The Med-surg unit is foundational to the hospital. We are looking for dedicated certified nursing assistants to join our Med-Surg nursing team. We offer a nurturing environment where growth is possible in our small community hospital.
Full Time, 12 hr shifts. Day and Night shift positions available. 2 weekends per month and alternating holidays required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide activities of daily living by assisting patients with bathing, serving meals, transferring, ambulation, repositioning, toileting and providing additional cares as needed.
- Collect and document vital signs and weight, intake and output in timely manner.
- Monitor patient needs and reporting abnormalities or any issues to other healthcare personnel.
- Alert healthcare staff to emergencies.
- Prepare each patient room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment and supplies and bathroom needs.
- Communicate with nurses and other healthcare members in a professional manner.
- Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources, materials, answering call lights and requests; and report abnormal observations or changes in the patient.
- Protect patient confidentiality, adhere to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures and Joint Commission standards.
- Ensure patient comfort by changing bedding, filling water jugs, and positioning items so they are within reach.
- Work collectively with other staff as a team to provide exceptional care to all patients.
Job Qualifications
- Must possess an Oregon State Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
