Located at Santiam Memorial Hospital’s main campus in Stayton, Santiam Women’s Clinic offers comprehensive women’s health care provided by Dr. Susan Taylor, obstetrician and gynecologist, and Mabel Dzata, certified nurse midwife. Medical care ranges from prenatal care and birth to gynecological surgery.
Dr. Taylor focuses on gynecology (including gynecological surgery), women’s health care and obstetrics. “Being a good doctor means being a good teacher,” explained Dr. Taylor. “Since there’s no magic fix for everything, my job is to help my patients understand their treatment options and risks, so that together we can work toward a desired outcome.”
Mabel focuses on general women’s health care and obstetrics — the entire birth process, from prenatal care through delivery. She comes to Santiam Women’s Clinic with over 38 years of midwifery experience and several years of women’s health emphasis, making her well-qualified to provide care for women at every stage of life. “I strongly believe that every woman, young or old, should be treated with respect and dignity,” said Mabel. “That’s when the physical, emotional and spiritual healing begins.”
